Comprehensive Lighting Project for the "Generación del 27" Municipal Library
Location: Los Palacios y Villafranca, Seville — Spain
ROBLAN has carried out a comprehensive renovation of the lighting system at the Generación del 27 Municipal Library in Los Palacios y Villafranca, a project focused on improving energy efficiency, visual comfort, and the quality of the space for users.
This initiative is part of the municipality's commitment to modernizing its public facilities by adopting more efficient and sustainable lighting solutions.
Project Description
The project involved the complete replacement of the existing lighting system, incorporating new high-performance LED fixtures that significantly improve both energy efficiency and light quality in the space.
A total of 200 KLPS8000BF fixtures were installed to provide general lighting for the library, supplemented by 32 ALLINR2480BF fixtures, resulting in a uniform and balanced distribution of light throughout all reading, study, and circulation areas.
From a technical standpoint, the renovation has resulted in a notable improvement. A reduction of 12W per light fixture has been achieved, which translates into very significant energy savings for the entire installation. In addition, lighting quality has been optimized by changing the color temperature from 5000K to 4000K, creating a more comfortable environment suitable for extended reading and daily use of the space.
Another highlight has been the installation of ALL-IN downlights , which offer improved heat dissipation, contributing to longer lamp life and more stable performance over time.
The result is a renovated library with more efficient, uniform lighting that is tailored to the actual needs of the users.

Conclusion
The renovation of the lighting system at the Generación del 27 Municipal Library has resulted in a significant improvement in terms of energy efficiency, visual comfort, and the quality of the space, creating a more suitable environment for studying and reading.
This project not only optimizes the building’s energy consumption but also reinforces the municipality’s commitment to sustainability and the improvement of its public facilities. Furthermore, the success of this initiative paves the way for similar projects in the town, such as the planned new library, which represents a great opportunity for continuity and development.
It is also worth noting the project’s impact at the local level, including our appearance on RTV Los Palacios–Villafranca, where our team was able to share the benefits and improvements achieved through this initiative.
It is also important to highlight the collaboration of Utremel, an electrical supply store, as the project’s distributor, along with installer Manuel Segura Agüera, whose work was key to the success of the installation. This project was carried out in collaboration with Nou Grup, building on a joint effort that has yielded a high-quality result.
