Lighting of the Cloister at Villarrobledo City Hall – Albacete

Located in the heart of Villarrobledo (Albacete), City Hall is one of the town’s most iconic buildings. Its interior cloister, built in the traditional Castilian style and surrounded by arcaded galleries, is an iconic space that has hosted numerous institutional events, exhibitions, and cultural gatherings over the years.

With the goal of highlighting its architecture and improving the lighting in both the walkways and the exhibition spaces, ROBLAN has carried out a new lighting project that combines technology, design, and respect for historical heritage.

Project Description

The lighting project for the Cloister of the Villarrobledo City Hall covered an area of 480 m², with the work focused on two main areas: the side corridors, where the exhibitions are located, and the central double-height space, which serves as a gathering place and provides access to the various municipal offices.

In the hallways, a track lighting system was chosen, which allows the light to be directed precisely onto artworks and architectural features. This type of installation offers great versatility, making it ideal for spaces that require frequent changes in layout or lighting, such as the temporary exhibitions organized by the city council.

ABELLA floodlights have been installed on the double-height ceiling to illuminate the central cloister. These fixtures stand out for their high luminous efficiency and optical control, providing uniform, glare-free lighting that highlights the original materials and enhances the building’s structure.

Solutions Used

  • ABELLA120FG – High-performance LED floodlight, ideal for architectural lighting indoors and outdoors.

  • TK01N3417F – Adjustable track light, designed for display and accent lighting applications.

Both products offer energy efficiency, low maintenance, and an unobtrusive design, blending seamlessly into the historic setting of City Hall.
