Project: Edna Ferreira Beauty Salon
Location: Carrer de Benet Mateu, 48, Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, 08034 Barcelona, Spain Project area: 260 m² Project description: The renovation of this space was conceived in close collaboration with Carla Mas of Vuit Arquitectura and the owner, starting from the earliest stages of the project. Since the space is intended for a hair salon, the lighting solutions implemented had to meet both aesthetic criteria and technical requirements, particularly regarding color rendering (CRI > 90) and color temperature—crucial elements for ensuring accurate color perception. In the work and coloring areas, FLIP recessed downlights were installed, which offer excellent color rendering and minimize glare thanks to their recessed design. In addition, the TKM magnetic track system was integrated, providing flexibility to adjust the lighting as needed and allowing for a combination of warm and neutral color temperatures, thereby optimizing visual comfort and color perception in the work environment. The end result is an aesthetically appealing space that meets the functional standards required for its intended use. Products used:
