Lighting for La Victoria Church – Collaboration with OQLU Architecture Studio
At ROBLAN, we believe that light has the power to transform spaces, enhance architectural beauty, and preserve heritage. That is why we are proud to present our collaboration with OQLU Estudio de Arquitectura (Seville) on the lighting project for the Church of La Victoria, a building steeped in history and significance.
La Victoria Church, whose construction dates back to the 16th century, has witnessed centuries of history: from uprisings and wars to ceremonies that shaped the lives of generations. Inside, every mural, sculpture, and stained-glass window tells a story of the region’s rich artistic and spiritual tradition.
Project Description
The goal of this project was to improve the preservation and energy efficiency of the church through lighting that respects its historical and artistic character.
It was essential to create lighting that would complement the space without overpowering it; that would guide the eye without stealing the spotlight from the sacred art. That is why the project’s approach was based on three key principles:

Discreet – The lighting blends into the surroundings, becoming almost invisible, and enhances the architecture without altering its essence.

Precise – Focused, directed light that highlights the key elements of the space, enhancing the heritage value of the complex.

Efficient – LED technology optimized to deliver maximum performance with minimal energy consumption.
Solutions Used
To achieve this balance between aesthetics and functionality, ROBLAN TK07 Track Lights were used (Track Light-07 18W/25W 5CCT (2700-5700K) 220-240V Multi-Angle 20°-50° (2120 lm at 5700K) White), which stand out for their precision, performance, and discreet design.
Their ability to direct light with precision made it possible to highlight specific areas—such as the altar, murals, altarpieces, and reliefs—emphasizing their texture and volume. This focused and controlled lighting enhances the heritage and artistic value of the complex, creating a warm and spiritual atmosphere without compromising efficiency.
Collaboration
This project is the result of a collaboration between OQLU Estudio de Arquitectura, responsible for the lighting design and installation, and ROBLAN, the supplier of the lighting solutions used.
OQLU Estudio de Arquitectura holds full credit for the project and the photographs. We thank them for their trust and sensitivity in using our lighting fixtures to preserve and enhance such an iconic building.
